Repairing Becker E8 if it no longer goes up
The Becker E8 is a roller shutter drive from the Becker R series with 8 Nm of torque and 17 rpm. The end positions are mechanically adjusted via two adjusting screws on the motor head. If your drive still goes down, but only goes up when you manually assist it, there is almost always a weak component inside the motor. We replace precisely this component, after which the motor runs at full power in both directions again.
Typical error pattern
- The roller shutter still goes down, but only goes up with manual assistance.
- The motor runs weakly, slowly, or has become noticeably louder.
- The motor stalls under load or starts only with difficulty.
