Repair Somfy Soliris instead of buying new

The Somfy Soliris is an automatic sun and wind sensor for awnings. It automatically extends your awning in the sun and retracts it safely when the wind picks up; you can also control it manually using the up and down buttons. Like any electronic device, the sensor can fail after years of use. This is usually not a total loss, but rather a worn-out component.

Typical defects we repair

• The controller no longer responds to the Up or Down button.
• It only clicks when pressed, but the awning doesn't move.
• The control unit isn't switching at all anymore.

Good to know about the Somfy Soliris

• The Soliris Uno (article number 710122, also 1818187 and 1818192 ) switches the drive directly via 230 V and fits in a 60 mm flush-mounted box. Soliris IB ( 710123 ) and Soliris Uno IB ( 709657 ) belong to the IB Bus series.
• The wind sensor is always active and cannot be switched off; it is the control unit's safety feature. The slide switch only activates the sun sensor.
• The factory settings are approximately 20 km/h wind threshold and approximately 35 kLux sun threshold.
• The most common reason for a submission is a control unit that only clicks when a button is pressed or doesn't switch at all.

Set it up first, then send it in: Many malfunctions are due to settings issues, such as a wind threshold that is too low or the demo setting being active. Follow Somfy instructions for setting up Somfy Soliris Uno: sun, wind, and intermediate position.

We repair your Soliris for a fixed price of €25, with a 24-month warranty. You will receive the invoice after successful repair; insured return shipping will take place after payment has been received.

How long will the repair take?

We will repair your controller on the day of receipt and send it back directly after successful repair.

Which Soliris models do you repair?

We repair the Somfy Soliris Uno, Soliris IB and Soliris Uno IB.

My awning no longer reacts to sun or wind, do you also repair those?

If your awning no longer reacts correctly to sun or wind, the cause is almost always the sensors, not the control unit. In this case, please check all sensors on site, if necessary with the support of the free Somfy hotline.

My awning retracts immediately, even though there's hardly any wind. Is the control unit faulty?

Usually not. First, check the wind threshold on the wind adjustment dial; it's set to approximately 20 km/h by default. If the red LED lights up, the controller has detected wind and is working as intended. You can find all the steps in our Soliris Uno manual.

Can I turn off the automatic wind control?

No, it's always active as a safety feature. The slide switch only deactivates the automatic sun sensor.
