Do you have any questions?
Repair requestIs your awning motor broken? Is your awning no longer retracting, only humming, or unresponsive to the switch? In most cases, the problem lies with a single faulty component, not a total loss. We repair your existing motor down to the component level, on the day we receive it, and with a 24-month warranty. This is cheaper and faster than buying and installing a new motor.
Order awning motor repairs starting from €29
The most common scenario: Extending the awning works fine, but retracting it either doesn't happen at all or the fabric stops halfway. The motor no longer provides enough power in that direction. We have described this in detail on the page "Awning won't retract".
You can clearly hear the motor working, but the fabric doesn't move at all or only jerkily. Often the awning only starts moving again when you manually assist it.
Neither the switch nor the remote control produces a response, even though power is supplied. With radio-controlled drives, it must first be determined whether the motor itself is faulty or if only the transmitter needs to be reprogrammed.
If the awning doesn't stop after being switched off, but instead slides forward a bit, the brake in the motor is worn out. We can repair this defect by replacing the motor tube starting from €49.
The awning extends too far or stops too early. Sometimes adjusting the end positions is enough, sometimes there is a defect in the end-stop mechanism.
Before you remove the drive unit, narrow down the problem in a few minutes:
If the drive remains silent, hums, or fails to hold its position, the motor itself is affected and we will repair it.
We repair radio and switch drives from all common manufacturers, for open articulated arm, cassette, conservatory and vertical awnings:

You commission the repair via the shopping cart and send us the removed awning motor via Hermes. The repair will be carried out on the day of receipt, and you will receive the invoice by email on the same day. After payment is received, the motor will be returned to you insured.
Important for reinstallation: Every repaired drive unit returns to its factory settings. Therefore, remote controls must be reprogrammed and the end positions reset, just like with a brand new motor.
Repairs start at a fixed price of €39, while replacing a motor tube due to a defective brake costs €49. Both services include a 24-month warranty on the replaced parts. You will receive the invoice after successful repair, and insured return shipping will be arranged after payment is received. All prices can be found in the price list.
If you want to replace a defective awning motor, you're usually replacing a perfectly functioning unit because of a single damaged component. With a replacement, you pay for the new motor, the adaptation to the shaft and drive mechanism, and generally the installation. With a repair, your existing motor is retained, it's guaranteed to fit your awning, and you pay a fixed price.
In all three cases, a 24-month warranty applies to the replaced components. Processing begins on the day of receipt. You will receive the invoice after successful repair, and insured return shipping will take place after payment is received.
If the motor tube is mechanically warped, the drive has been exposed to moisture for an extended period, or the awning mechanism itself is damaged, even the best motor repair will be ineffective. We will inspect this before any repairs and contact you before any costs are incurred.
Every repaired drive unit is returned to its factory settings, just like a brand-new motor. This means that remote controls are reprogrammed and the end positions are reset. This step is also necessary when purchasing a new unit.
Check your awning motor now and arrange for repairs.
